Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

It can be difficult to put the words of Jesus in this Sunday’s Gospel into practice. One thing that parents often do after younger children have a fight is to encourage them to make-up. They want their children to learn that you cannot harbor a grudge forever.

This childhood learning is hopefully carried over into adult life. We learn to forgive, but at the same time become aware of larger hurts than childhood spats. Forgiveness and reconciliation in adult life take place over much more serious things than who gets to play with which toy in the sandbox.

With Lent beginning this Wednesday, this may be a good time for an examination of conscience and to ask in what areas of one’s own life forgiveness and reconciliation need to bear fruit.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

It is there in the Eucharist that HE says to me: “I thirst, thirst for your love, your sacrifices, your sufferings.  I thirst for your happiness, for it was to save you that I came into the world, that I suffered and died on the Cross.  In order to console and strengthen you I left you the Eucharist.  So you have there all of MY life, all MY tenderness, and all MY love.

Visit the Adoration Chapel.  Open Hours: Monday noon, Tuesday 3:00 PM and Friday 3:00 PM.  For information, call 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806.
