CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL - Next weekend begins the new 2009 Catholic Services Appeal (formerly Annual Catholic Appeal).  This appeal supports many ministries that help provide spiritual, educational and social needs to many within our Archdiocese.  Coming soon in your mail will be a letter from Archbishop Nienstedt.  Each parishioner should receive this gift request.  The goal this year is to not to have people give more, but to have more people give.  Please prayerfully consider your gift to the Appeal.  “We are one body, one body in Christ.”

CONCERNED FOR LIFE - Minnesota Citizens for Life Legislative Dinner at Historic Landmark Center on Tuesday, February 17, 2009.  Social 6:00 PM and dinner 7:00 PM.  $35.00 per person.  This is an opportunity to meet personally with your legislators and urge them to support MCCL’s pro-life legislative priorities.  Contact your legislators and encourage them to attend the dinner.  Registration deadline is February 10th. EAST SIDE THRIFT STORE - Thank you very much for your support of our mission with your money, time and talent.  Because of your generous support we were able to help more than 120 families last year with clothes and household goods!  Volunteers, donations and shoppers are always needed; pots/pans, towels and hygiene products especially.  Furniture can now be accepted in our new location.  East Side Thrift Store, 1928 Central Ave. N.E.  Please call 612-789-0600 for hours, etc - Laura Murphy, Manager.
