Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

Today’s Gospel offers the first glimpse of Jesus’ healing activity in Mark’s Gospel. In the next two weeks we will again encounter Jesus, the healer. When illness strikes us or a close relative or friend, we may want Jesus to come with immediate healing. Often, in illness, people deepen their own prayer-life and relationship with God.

But the Gospel today suggests that Jesus takes a different approach to sickness. When everyone is looking for him, Jesus tells his disciples, “Let us go to the nearby villages that I may preach there also.” Jesus’ activity is less about healing, than it is about announcing the good news. In our quest for healing we discover what is “good news” for us as we draw closer to God.

New Phone System

Through the generosity of a donor, the parish office and rectory have a new phone system with voice mail and other options.  As with any new system, there are minor adjustments which need to be made.  Please be patient as the priests and staff learn how to efficiently operate this system.  The phone numbers have not changed.

Text Box: PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC
ADORATION

What benefit is the Eucharist?? Jesus is our great solace and comfort. In the Adoration Chapel we enjoy the priceless advantage, and great honor of possessing in our midst our Savior, God Himself, Son of God, King of kings, and Master and Lord of the world. True, Jesus remains concealed under the veil of the host, but our faith assures us of the truth that HE is really present.

Visit Jesus in the Adoration Chapel. Open hours: Monday noon, Thursday noon, Thursday 1:00 p.m. and Friday 4:00 p.m. There is a list in the Chapel to sign for your chosen hour, or call 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806. Thank you!
