FATHER GLEN’S

THOUGHTS…..

In our Gospel Jesus gives us the Beatitudes.  The eight beatitudes gives us a picture of a faithful, humble, trusting person who places God first in their lives.  If our lives form a picture like the one Jesus spells out for us in the Beatitudes, then the blessings that he describes in the Beatitudes will be ours as well.  May the graces from celebrating our savior’s birth at Christmas continue to take root and bear fruit in our daily lives as we move through the year that “our reward may be great in heaven” as the Lord says.

Our school is moving forward after emerging from the “Urgent Review Process” of the Archdiocese and the first opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved will be next Saturday evening, Feb. 5, with the Annual Spaghetti Dinner at Kolbe Hall from 4:30-7:00 PM.  Come and join in supporting our school and celebrating the future of Catholic education in Northeast by coming to this fundraiser for our school, and have a great meal together with friends and neighbors from our area!

Thank you for your generosity and thank you to all who have increased their gifts.  Your kindness helps ensure the future of Holy Cross Parish.

Dear Holy Cross Parish Community,

“It was the eve of the collection for retired Religious and all through the nation, coordinators awaited with great expectations.  The posters were hung in the church with care, in hopes that donations would be there.” ...and then we had a few blizzards that kept the donor at home...or did it?  Holy Cross Parish donated $1,773.00.  Thank you!  May God abundantly bless you. - Sister Midge Breiter, SSND, Archdiocesan RFFR Coordinator
