FISH FRY’S - The Lenten Fish Fry’s are returning to Holy Cross all Fridays during Lent except for Good Friday beginning February 19th.  Worker sign-up sheets for the Fish Fry’s are at the University entrance of the Church.  Your help will be greatly appreciated!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! -  The Annual Sauerkraut Supper sponsored by the Holy Cross Parish Activities Committee will be Tuesday, February 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the school auditorium.  Music by John Filipczak from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  We need help in the kitchen and dining room.  A coffee team is needed to brew coffee for 800+.  People are needed to sell pop and beer in Kolbe Center.  It is a great dinner and wonderful party!  Please help.  612-789-7238 weekdays or Cindy at 763-754-2230.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Spaghetti Dinner & Raffle on Sat., February 6 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  $8.00 for adults and children (grades 9-12); $6.00 for seniors (60) & children (grade 8 and under); $30 family (2 adults/children under 17).  Raffle tickets are $1 each and available at the school.

Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, February 14 at St. Clement Church, 911-24th Ave. N.E. from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.  $5.00 for adults; $3.00 for children.

ST. CHARLES MARDI GRAS -  Join us Sunday, February 14, 7:30 AM to about 6:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo in St. Anthony (2727 Stinson Blvd) for a festival just bursting with games, fun food, and a fabulous live auction.  Hot breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, spaghetti dinner at noon, and live auction at 4:00 PM.  Come feel the love on St. Valentine’s Day!  Questions? MARDI GRAS AT ST. CECELIA’S -  Sunday, February 14 from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.  Fun, food, raffle and Silent Auction.  Roast Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings.  Adults $8 and children 8 and under free.  St. Cecelia’s is located at 2357 Bayless Place in St. Paul.  651-644-4502.

ARCHDIOCESAN WORLD DAY OF THE SICK-  Bishop Lee Piché will preside at the Archdiocesan World Day of the Sick on Saturday, February 13th at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, 239 Selby Avenue, St. Paul.  This mass is intended for all who are sick, their care-gives and all health care professionals.  This mass will conclude with an opportunity for the sick to receive individual prayer for healing and grace.  Caregivers and health professionals will also be encouraged to receive prayer for strength, patience and love as they carry out their ministry to the sick.  A reception will follow.   Questions?  763-786-4945.

BAKE SALE - The Polish Rosary Society will host a Bake Sale and Raffle on Saturday, February 13th after the 4:30 Mass and Sunday, February 14th after all morning Masses in Kolbe Center.  Donations from parishioners will be greatly appreciated and may be brought to Kolbe Center on Saturday February 13th after 12:00 noon.

FAMILY HOLY HOUR - Join other families from our diocese for a Family Holy Hour on Sunday, February 14 at Holy Cross.  Bishop Lee Piché of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will lead the Holy Hour.  You will enjoy hearing and meeting Bishop Piché!  Confessions start at 2:15 PM and Adoration at 3:00 PM.  Bring a snack to share. Families should plan to enjoy fellowship in Kolbe Hall after prayer. 

WORLD YOUTH DAY MADRID 2011 - Join the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis as we respond to the Holy Father’s invitation to be …”Rooted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the faith” (Col 2:7).  We will be joining Catholic youth and young adults from around the world and Pope Benedict XVI on a pilgrimage to Madrid in August 2011.
