Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

This weekend we honor the Conversion of St. Paul who is the patron of our archdiocese. During the Pauline Holy Year proclaimed by Pope Benedict we focus on this powerful man of faith whose conversion was brought about by a direct encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. The flame of faith burned brightly in the heart of St. Paul and we can learn about this faith of his as we read his epistles in the New Testament. Each of us is called by Jesus to serve him with our lives by how we live them. Be a light in the darkness for those around you, live your faith after the example of St. Paul.

This weekend we have a Pancake Breakfast for our school to kick off Catholic Schools Week. This is being hosted by St. Clement’s, one of the supporting parishes of Pope John Paul II Catholic School, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. I will pop in and out between and after masses at Holy Cross. I hope that you can pop in too and support Catholic Education.

Saturday, February 14th Valentine’s Day, we will have a Cana Evening for the married couples of our tri-parishes, to be held at Kolbe Hall on the Holy Cross Church campus. Come for the 4:30 PM Mass at Holy Cross that Saturday evening, then come down to Kolbe for dinner, fascinating talks on revitalizing marriage by Deacon John and Fr. Glen, and entertainment to finish. Tickets are $25.00 a couple and are available at the University Avenue entrance of church today and for the next two weekends. This should be a blast, be sure to come!

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

January 25th - “The Conversion of St. PAUL (Saul).”  The conversion of St. Paul is perhaps the greatest miracle in the history of the early Church.  Paul hears the voice of JESUS, “Why are you persecuting ME?”  Let us visit the Adoration Chapel and through the prayers of St. Paul pray and give thanks for our Catholic Faith.
