Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

The Lord Jesus in our Gospel proclaims that he has come to bring the blessings of God to them. It is so easy to overlook blessings from God during our day unless we are actively looking for them each day. A desire to see God’s blessings in circumstances and from other people can open our eyes to how much he loves us. I will be on retreat this week in Schulenburg, Texas to help to reopen my eyes to see the blessings of God in my life and in the life of our parish communities.

There are many graces from God that I am aware of right now, and more that appear to be coming forth for these communities as new ministries are beginning to bud forth from last summer’s Northeast Vacation Bible School and this fall’s Family Nights at Holy Cross. In a few months I expect that we might see some very exciting evidence of blessings from the Lord for our Northeast parish communities in the form of new ministries to stir the faith in our area anew. Praised be Jesus Christ!

Don’t forget our School’s Spaghetti Supper at Kolbe Hall on Saturday, Feb. 6th. It’s a great meal, and an even greater cause! See you there.

PEACE MASS -  The next Peace Mass will be at Holy Cross on Tuesday, January 26th.  Rosary at 6:30 PM; Mass at 7:00 PM.  Receive a copy of the message given to the Blessed Virgin Mary at Medjugorje on the 25th of every month.  Refreshments follow.

FISH FRY’S - The Lenten Fish Fry’s are returning to Holy Cross every Friday during Lent except for Good Friday beginning on February 19th.  Worker sign-up sheets for the Fish Fry’s are at the University entrance of the Church.  Your help will be greatly appreciated!

PRAYER SHAWL - You are invited to  join us - all skills are needed (sew, crochet, knit, fleece tie, sewing labels).  We meet on Tuesday, January 26th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Library.  If you would like to work at home, just stop by a meeting to see the shawls and get copies of prayers, patterns/ideas and size guidelines.  For more information call the Parish Office at 612-789-7238 or Mary at 612-379-4090.
