Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

BULLETIN CONNECTION

St. Paul's words in today's second reading from his first letter to the Corinthians are a challenge to Christians today. Every year from January 18-25 there are special prayers offered for the unity of all Christians. Certainly the divisions among all who believe in Christ are a scandal to the world.

Achieving Christian unity is not an easy task. Healing division never is. But great progress has been made over the years, and God willing, more will be made in the future.

While theologians and church leaders discuss the fine points of doctrine and work on monumental statements, the rest of us are not left out of the task. As a Christian, it is our task to join others who believe in Christ in the works of charity that show the love of Christ to the world.

Our prayers for unity and our actions of love
bring us closer to final union in Christ.
