THE GRACE OF RECOGNITION
Mary and Joseph were religious people and fulfilled all the prescriptions of the Jewish Law. They brought Jesus to Jerusalem, to the Temple, to be consecrated to God. And while there His specialness was recognized by Simon and Anna. These two must have seen many babies presented but were able to discern and proclaim that this small boychild would be the means of accomplishing God's plan for Israel. They saw Him for who He really was. May we have the grace to do the same!
