Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

In our Gospel this Sunday we hear Mary being spoken of as blessed because she believed that the Lord’s word to her would be fulfilled. Mary trusted that our God was truly all good and worthy of being believed even when he promised miraculous things. At Christmas time we need to renew our trust in the Lord’s absolute goodness and worthiness of trust by us all. Even when his will stands in the way of our desires we must trust like Mary that he only wills what is good for us and allow his will to take precedence over ours. Then we will discover in our lives even now a taste of the glory that awaits us in heaven.

As we celebrate Jesus’ birth this week on Christmas Day may we all be renewed in a Marian trust in the goodness of God who loves us completely and desires only the best for each of us. Surely, the birth of his son as a man to die for our sins means this, and so much more.

May each and all of you be blessed this Christmas with a special joy and peace. May we all journey together into the glory of God. Merry Christmas!

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor
