Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

BULLETIN CONNECTION

What a dream! A child who's going to save us! Who would believe it!

It probably took awhile for the message to soak into Joseph's brain. The woman he was engaged to was going to have a baby. And he wasn't the father. Now what?

We're so used to hearing the story that the real shock of it has worn off for us. But we all could imagine what would happen if a loved one told us about their pregnancy and it didn't come about the way we expected. There would be a lot of second guessing and processing the information. There would be a lot of questions and discussion as well.

We don't really know what went on in Joseph's mind. The scriptures only tell us that he woke up and did as the Lord commanded him. In that way he was very much like Mary. He gave his "Yes!" to God just as she did.
