Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

A SIGN OF GOD'S PRESENCE

Isaiah knew people needed strength in order to see and respond to the coming of the Lord into their lives. He said:

Strengthen the hands that are feeble,
make firm the knees that are weak.
Say to those whose hearts are frightened:
Be strong, fear not!
Here is your God!

Make this your mantra for the coming week.

                                            ADORATION NEWS

In the Catholic Spirit on December 2nd there was an article on vocations by Father Tom Wilson, Archdiocesan Vocations Director. He reports 15 men are to be ordained in May. He states the increase in number of Adoration Chapels has coincided with the increase of seminarians. Where JESUS' abiding presence is adored vocations flow from that.

Visit the Adoration Chapel located in the convent of Holy Cross Open hours: Wednesday 8:00 a.m., Thursday 4:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 noon, Saturday 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 3:00 p.m. For more information call 612-605-2558 or 612-781-4806. Thank you.

"COINS FOR CRIBS" - an Advent outreach program at Holy Cross. We will collect coins during Advent for baby cribs. The money collected will be given to "Cradle of Hope". Many women want to give life to their babies, but feel pressured by financial circumstances that may seem overpowering during pregnancy. Founded in 1973, "Cradle of Hope" is a non-profit organization that provides financial aid for critical maternity-related expenses such as cribs. The program assists pregnant women who "fall through the cracks" of other existing funding sources. "Cradle of Hope" gives vouchers for $105.00 so that a crib can be purchased. All coins received in the collection plate will be given to this project. Last week we collected $158.00 Thank you!
THE POLISH HOLY NAME SOCIETY thanks everyone who helped make pierogi and thank you also to all our great customers.
