· Decorate the Jesse Tree at 10:00 AM Mass.

· Sunday School during the 10:00 AM Mass.

· Breakfast with St. Nicholas after 10:00 AM Mass.

· Bible Study 6:30-8:30 PM

 

FOOD FOR THE NEEDY - We  need food for Christmas baskets.  You can bring your food donations when you come to Church or to the Rectory during the week.  Please make sure to check the expiration date on the food and do not bring open boxes or bags.  Cash donations will also be accepted and used for hams, bread, etc.

ENGLISH ALTAR & ROSARY GUILD MEETING - The English Altar and Rosary Guild will meet on Monday, December 12th.  Please remember to bring your items for the Cancer Home to this meeting.  Rose 106 will provide refreshments.

THANK YOU - Pope John Paul II Catholic School wants to thank all those from our parishes who attended “A Northeast Christmas” on Sunday, December 4.  The event proved to be a wonderful celebration and we have already had many requests to offer it again next year.  We heard the languages of Northeast in the English, Latin, French, German and Spanish selections performed.  Thank you to the choirs from Our Lady of Lourdes, Sts. Cyril and Methodius and Pope John Paul II Catholic School for their participation.  We hope other parish choirs will join us next year.  We especially want to thank the professional musicians for their spectacular performances of such pieces as Ave Maria, Rejoice Greatly from Handel’s Messiah, Panis Angelicus, and O Holy Night.  Our Lady of Lourdes was a wonderful venue for this great event.  Again thanks to all who attended.

SYLVESTER DINNER/DANCE - PNA Hall will have a New Year’s Eve “Sylvester” dance on December 31, 2011 from 7:00 PM till 1:00 AM, sponsored by Group 1042 of PNA.  Dinner will be served and also a midnight snack of homemade “Bigos” will be served along with champagne for all.  Music by “Bago Bago”.  Price is $45 per person in advance/$50 at the door and $35 for students with a valid school ID.  For tickets or more information call Jan at 651-628-9846 or Maria at 612-789-8763.

DAY OF PRAYER AND RETREAT - St. Maron Church is having a day of prayer, “Christmas Day of Reflection” on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  You are all encouraged to attend this day of prayer in preparation for the Birth of Our Lord Jesus.  A free will donation will be accepted at the door.  Please pass the word around and invite your families and friends.
