Second Sunday of Advent! Let us place ourselves in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. St. John the Baptist appeared in the desert proclaiming repentance.

Let us visit the Adoration Chapel offering prayers and penance. The Chapel is located in the Convent of Holy Cross. Open hours: Monday 9:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m., Tuesday 10:00 p.m., Wednesday 11:00 p.m., Thursday 11:00 a.m. Other early hours are listed in the Chapel. CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS EVE MASS - We need children to be Joseph, angels and shepherds for the 4:00 Christmas Eve Children's Mass. There will be a brief practice Thursday, Dec. 22, 6:00 p.m. in Church. Please call Janice weekdays at the Rectory 612-789-7238.
CHRISTMAS BASKETS - We are now collecting items for the Christmas food baskets. The Thanksgiving baskets used most of our food supply. We really need your help! If everyone brought one or two food items, it would be a great help. Please share a can of soup, fruit or vegetables. We also need gifts for adults and children - clothes, games, toys, etc. Any money received will be used for hams, potatoes, bread and other items for the baskets. Thanks!!

THE 2006 YOUTH ENVELOPES for students will feature "Patron Saints." They are a great learning tool since you learn about a different saint each week. The envelopes are available for pick-up in the Church vestibule.
CANDY AND CARMEL CORN - There is still time to get these wonderful treats. See one of the Sisters after Mass in the Sacristy or call 612-789-9168 (evenings). All profits go towards the "Continuing Our Tradition" Campaign.

MEN AND WOMEN ARE NEEDED to help with cleaning of the Church on Monday. December 19 at 3:00 p.m. The pews, Stations of the Cross and Statues will need cleaning. If you can help, please meet in church and bring a pail and rags with you.
