ANNUAL SINGLE PARENT MORNING RETREAT

The Archdiocesan Office for Family, Laity, Youth and Young Adults is hosting its third annual Single Parent Morning Retreat on Saturday, February 17th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.  This event is meant to provide Christian support for single parents through presentation and discussion.  The cost is $10.00/family.  Free childcare will be provided  Call 651-291-4489.

IRVING BERLIN’S EASTER PARADE - Holy Cross Parish Activities is sponsoring a trip to see Irving Berlin’s musical Easter Parade at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre on Wednesday, April 11th.  Cost is $59.00 per person and includes: dinner, show and coach.  Coach leaves at 5:15 PM from Holy Cross.  For reservations call Joan at 612-378-4488.

KEEP THE DATE OPEN - The Annual Holy Cross Sauerkraut Supper is Tuesday, February 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the school gym.  Also featured will be music and dancing from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Save the date and invite your friends for this delicious dinner and great music before the start of the Lenten season.

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT SEMINAR - The Romance for a Lifetime Christian marriage enrichment seminars will be held on four Monday evenings, February 5, 12, 19, 26, from 7-9 PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Golden Valley.  Couples can learn to “tune up” their skills in communication, conflict resolution, faith & intimacy.  The cost is $85 per couple for the four evening series.  An additional seminar called, “Grow Old With Me, the Best is Yet to Be” will be offered for “empty nesters” and those who have been married a number of years on Saturday, March 3, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Court International Bldg. in St. Paul; cost is $70 (including lunch.  Pre-registration is required; call Jim & Mary Jo Faustgen at 763-545-3433 or email at romanceforalifetime@comcast.net.

SEMINAR WITH FATHER TADEUSZ PACHOLCZYK - Embryonic Stem Cell Research and Cloning Seminar at Our Lady of Grace, 5071 Eden Avenue in Edina at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30th.  Father Tad is a moral theologian with advanced degrees and a priest of the Falls River, Massachusetts diocese who speaks and consults on bioethics and end of life issues throughout the U.S.  There is a suggested donation of $5.00.

January 28 - Pancake Breakfast at St. Clement’s Church, 911-24th Avenue N.E. Minneapolis.  8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

February 3 - Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle at Pope John Paul II School 1630-4th St. N.E., 4:30 to 7:00 PM.  Cost is $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and children under 13.

Both events are to benefit Pope John Paul II School.
