CHOIR MEMBERS NEEDED FOR CHRISTMAS - Soon Christmas will be upon us. In preparation I would like to extend an invitation to all to sing in the choir at Christmas Masses. Rehearsals will be the following Wednesdays: Dec. 4, 11 & 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Church. We will practice music for Midnight Mass on December 24 and the 10:00 a.m. Mass on December 25. If you are interested, please come to rehearsal on Wednesday, December 4. How wonderful it will be to have a good number of voices in our Choir for Christmas. Please help!

ENGLISH ALTAR & ROSARY GUILD MEMBERS please remember to bring items for the Cancer Home to the December 9 meeting. Items currently needed are: paper products, toilet tissue, facial tissue, individual cream soups, juices (no citrus), individual puddings, jellos and Vaseline lotion.
SLAVIC HOLIDAY - Christmas in Early Poland & Russia at Holy Cross. On Friday, December 20, at 8:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, the "Rose Ensemble" will present their holiday concert. Dec. 2 to Dec. 18 - Toy Drive. Please feel welcome to bring a new, unwrapped toy to school between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The toys will be given to East Side Neighborhood Services for distribution.

December 2, 9, 16 and 20 - 10:00 a.m. Advent wreath prayer service. Please join us.

Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. Student liturgies, Holy Cross Church.

December 6 - The students leave their shoes outside the classroom doors hoping that St. Nicholas will drop candy in them.

December 10 - 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be caroling at Catholic Eldercare.

December 17 - 6:30 p.m. Christmas Concert in the gymnasium. All are welcome.

December 19 - 6:30 p.m. school families, faculty, and staff, karaoke Christmas party.

ADVENT EVENING PRAYER - The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 804 Second Street N.E., Minneapolis will be hosting Evening Vesper Services during this Advent Season. This Service will consist of the Liturgy of the Hours with appropriate hymns, prayers, and Advent symbolism. These Services will be held on the four Sundays of Advent - Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 3:00 p.m. For more information call 612-379-2324.
EVENING AFFIRMING THE FAITH - On Saturday evening, December 7, St. Charles Borromeo Parish will hold it's annual Evening Affirming the Faith. The guest presenter is Father Thomas Dubay S.M., the international known author, spiritual director, retreat master and speaker. Father Dubay's talk will be "Reconciliation and the Spiritual Life". The evening begins with Mass at 5:00 p.m. followed by social time, a catered dinner at 6:45 p.m. and then the presentation. The cost for the entire evening is $18.00 per person.
