Welcome to Church of the Holy Cross

CALLED IN SLEEP

Samuel was sleeping the deep sleep of a young man when the Lord called to him. Even though he was sleeping in the temple, Samuel did not recognize whose voice it was. He needed the wisdom of Eli, his teacher, who helped him understand what was happening and how he could respond.

Who are your teachers who help you recognize the voice of God calling you to yourself? Honor them with gratitude.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who saved aluminum cans. We have reached the goal needed for new tables and chairs in Kolbe Center! We ask you now to keep saving aluminum cans. The money raised from recycling the aluminum will go towards the "Continuing Our Tradition" Campaign. Bags of aluminum cans can be put in the containers by the doors of the church or by the garages behind the rectory. Thanks!!

ADORATION NEWS

Today the readings seem to be about the Lord's call, and the Disciples response. The Disciples asked Jesus, "where are you staying?" Today we do not have to ask Jesus "where are you staying", as the Disciples did. We know we have Jesus present and exposed in the Adoration Chapel. Visit the Adoration Chapel - Jesus is calling.

The Adoration Chapel is located in the convent of Holy Cross. Open hours: Tuesday 11:00 a.m., Thursday 2:00 p.m. and Thursday 4:00 p.m.

For more information call 763-788-4729 or 612-781-4806. Thank you.
WE FORGOT TO THANK WALT GLINIANY for helping with the delivery of flowers to the sick and shut ins of the Parish after Christmas. Thanks Walt. We do appreciate your help.
THE FAMILY OF ANNA FUSSY would like to express our sincere thanks to Father David, the Altar Boys, organist, soloist and all who participated in the beautiful funeral Mass.
