ANNUAL SINGLE PARENT MORNING RETREAT

The Archdiocesan Office for Family, Laity, Youth and Young Adults is hosting its third annual Single Parent Morning Retreat on Saturday, February 17th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.  This event is meant to provide Christian support for single parents through presentation and discussion.  The cost is $10.00/family.  Free childcare will be provided  For more information or a registration form, call 651-291-4489.  On line forms also available at www.archspm.org/family

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM RESCHEDULED- Keep Christmas In Your Heart - All Year Long!!  The school  Christmas Program was cancelled in December due to bad weather.  They still want to spread the message of Christ in the new year.  Pope John Paul II Christmas Program will be Friday, January 19th at 2:30 PM in the school gymnasium (use school door on 4th St.)  We hope you will join us.

MINNEAPOLIS DEANERY MEETING - The next Deanery meeting is Monday, January 29th at Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia Heights.  Reservation deadline is Wednesday, January 24th.  For reservations call Dianne at 763-572-0095.  Bring an unwrapped baby gift for Birthright to this meeting.

CANA DINNER - The Church of St. Helena, Minneapolis, will sponsor a Cana Dinner for married couples on Saturday, January 20 in Rowan Hall, 3204 East 43rd Street.  The evening will consist of a social at 6:00 PM; dinner at 6:30 PM, and a talk at 7:30 PM by Jack Quesnell, a marriage and family counselor, author and lecturer.  The cost is $30 per couple, and reservations must be made by noon on Thursday, January 18.  For more information call 612-729-7321.

MORNING SEMINAR - The Church of St. Helena will sponsor a seminar entitled “Scripture as a Source of Spiritual Growth” by Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J., Ph.D., host of EWTN Live on Saturday, January 27, in Rowan Hall, 3204 East 43rd Street.  The morning includes Mass at 8:00 AM, a continental breakfast at 8:30 AM, and two lectures by Father Pacwa from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM.  Reservations must be made in advance.  Tuition is $15 including breakfast.  612-729-7321 to reserve tickets.

PLACEMENT EXAM - The placement exam for incoming freshmen will be given at Totino-Grace on Saturday, January 20 beginning at 8:30 AM.  Registration for 9th graders will also begin the morning of the exam.    Questions call T.J. Paal at 763-586-6314.

KEEP THE DATE OPEN - The Annual Holy Cross Sauerkraut Supper will be Tuesday, February 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the school gym.  Also featured will be music and dancing from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Save the date and invite your friends for this delicious dinner and great music before the start of the Lenten season.
