MANIFESTING PEACE!
The prophet Isaiah sees the coming of the Lord as bringing peace. He says:
One nation shall not raise the sword against another,
nor shall they train for war again.
What can your Eucharistic community and your family do this Advent to increase the visibility of this vision during the coming year?

"COINS FOR CRIBS" - an Advent outreach program at Holy Cross. As we prepare to
celebrate the Birth of Baby Jesus at
Christmas, our parish will collect coins during
Advent that will be used for baby cribs. The
money collected will be given to "Cradle of Hope" - a
non-profit organization that works with mothers and infants in crisis. All coins
received in the weekly collection plate will be given to this project. Bring
extra coins to Church! If you prefer to give dollars or a check, please put your
gift in an envelope marked "Cradle of Hope." Thank you. |
CHRISTMAS BASKETS - We are now collecting items for the Christmas food
baskets. We will need food for the baskets and we can use gifts
for adults and children - clothes, games, toys, etc. Any money
received will be used for hams, potatoes, bread and other items for the baskets. Thanks! |
