FOOD FOR THE NEEDY - All the donated food has been given out and we now need food for Christmas baskets.  You can bring your food donations when you come to Church or to the Rectory during the week.  Please make sure to check the expiration date on the food and do not bring open boxes or bags.  Cash donations will also be accepted and used for hams, bread, etc.

TO ALL SENIORS - You are invited to join us at our Annual Senior Mass and Dinner on Friday, December 2 at 10:30 AM.  Mass will be in Church.  Cost is $11.00 and reservations are necessary.  Please call 612-789-9168 (evenings).  Deadline is Monday, November 28th.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS - Pope John Paul II/Nero Boosters are selling Christmas Wreaths.  24” Wreath with bow $16.00 and 24” Wreath with bow and cones $17.50.  Buy a wreath and your name will be entered for a $25.00 Rainbow Gift Card.  Call: Renee 612-781-3242, Greg 612-789-5714 or Bob 612-991-7212 to order your wreath.  Wreaths will be delivered the weekend of December 3 & 4.

HELP OUR KIDS - Help Our Kids WIN “A Power a Bright Future Grant” to help our school Science Lab and playground.  All you need to do is Vote online at www.PowerABrightFuture.com - search for Pope John Paul II Catholic School - Minneapolis, MN or text 675383 to 44144 and vote one time every day thru December 9.  You must be a U.S. citizen and at least 13 years old.  Thank you for your vote.

A NORTHEAST CHRISTMAS - You are invited to a benefit concert for Pope John Paul II Catholic School on Sunday, December 4th at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  The concert is to celebrate familiar and traditional music of the multicultural Northeast faith community and will include performances by both choirs as well as soloists.  Tickets are available from $10 to $25.  For information please contact the Development Office at 612-789-8851 or events@popejohnpaulschool2ne.org.

ADVENT RETREAT - St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, MN, is hosting an Advent Retreat on December 9-11 2011 on the topic: “The Church: An Incarnation and Sacramental Community.”  The retreat leader is Father Kevin Seasoltz, OSB, will talk on the sacrament of the every-day, Christ as a primary sacrament of God, and the Church as the sacrament of Christ expressing itself culturally in various sacramental rituals.  The cost is $180 for a single room and $150 per person sharing a double room.  To register call Father Bob Pierson at 320-363-3929 or email spirlife@osb.org.

ADORATION CHAPEL - The Adoration Chapel will be closed from Thursday, November 24th through Sunday, November 27.  The Chapel will reopen on Monday, November 28th at 8:00 AM.
