ALL SAINTS CHURCH is having a Turkey/Cash Bingo TODAY Sunday, November 18 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM in the Parish Center located at 435-5th Street N.E.  Games, door prizes, refreshments will be served.

“COINS FOR CRIBS” - an Advent outreach project program at Holy Cross.  As we prepare to celebrate the Birth of Baby Jesus at Christmas our parish will again collect coins during Advent that will be used for baby cribs.  The money collected will be given to “Cradle of Hope” - a non-profit organization that works with mothers and infants in crisis.  All coins received in the weekly collection plate will be given to this project.  Bring extra coins to Church.  If you prefer to give dollars or a check, please put your gift in an envelope marked “Cradle of Hope.”  This project will begin the weekend of December 1 & 2.  Thank you!

CATHOLIC AID ASSOCIATION Turkey and Ham  Raffle Fundraiser on Tuesday, November 20 at 7:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Parish Hall, 7th Avenue and 2nd St. N.E., Minneapolis.  Admission is $1.50.  Adults only.

WIGILIA 2007 - This year the Polanie Club of Minneapolis and St. Paul is proud to celebrate its 80th year of honoring Polish heritage by again hosting the popular Wigilia 2007.  We invite you to join us with this traditional Polish Christmas Eve supper on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Jax Café.  The after dinner program will feature the Dolina Polish Dance Group and an always popular sing-a-long of Polish and American carols.  Tickets for this non-profit celebration are $35.00, including tax and gratuity.  For tickets please call Fran at 651-639-1464 or Roma at 651-698-8733 to reserve your place.

 

“PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD” - an Orthodox-Catholic Conversation.  On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Avenue South in Golden Valley members of the local Orthodox and Roman Catholic communities will partner for the fifth in a recent series of discussions.  Members of the general public are invited to participate in a public discussion on the “real meaning of Christmas”.  Vespers will begin at 6:00 PM, light refreshments at 6:30 PM followed by the panel discussion at 7:00 PM.  For further information contact the church at 763-544-0416.

CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON - St. Austin’s CCW Christmas Luncheon on Saturday, December 1 at 12:00 Noon.  Catered lunch and entertainment.  Cost is $10.00.  Reservations only by November 26th.  For more information contact Sammy at 612-529-3502 (evenings).  St. Austin’s Church is located at 41st and Thomas Avenue North.

THANK YOU to the Holy Cross Parish Activities Committee for purchasing an electronic lift for the parish.  The lift has been used by the painters, will be a big help when changing light bulbs, and will be a great addition to church decorating.
