Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

As the church’s liturgical year draws near to its conclusion just a week from this Sunday before beginning anew with Advent, we hear of end times things in our readings this Sunday. Jesus assures us that we will not know the day or the hour but that we should be able to recognize signs of the end times coming just as we recognize changes in nature that indicate a change of season coming. What this means is that we must live so as to be ready to meet the Lord at any time. Such a way of living will help us to recognize the signs of the Lord’s coming, and will fulfill us as we go about our daily lives, even as we strive to be ready to move away from here into eternity.

People who live love whole heartedly, for God and others, who willingly give of themselves for others, have nothing to fear about the end of times. Those who do not know or love the Lord need our prayers and our good example of lived faith to help them recognize what they are missing in their lives, that they too might be ready to meet the Lord.

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor
