“WHEELS OF HOPE” - Do you know of someone who has been deprived of their ability to walk due to illness or disease?  If so, “Wheels of Hope” can help your loved ones regain confidence and their independence with a power wheelchair or scooter.  “Wheels of Hope” helps Medicare recipients who suffer from respiratory disorders, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, have a mobility limitation and difficulty in propelling a standard wheelchair, to receive a power wheelchair or scooter paid for with the assistance of Medicare.  For eligibility information please call 1-866-631-3022.

“PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD” - An Orthodox-Catholic Conversation.  On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Avenue South in Golden Valley members of the local Orthodox and Roman Catholic communities will partner for the fifth in a recent series of discussions.  Members of the general public are invited to participate in a public discussion on the “real meaning of Christmas”.  Vespers will begin at 6:00 PM, light refreshments at 6:30 PM followed by the panel discussion at 7:00 PM.  For further information contact the church at 763-544-0416.

AN EVENING AFFIRMING THE FAITH - You are cordially invited to spend an evening at St. Charles Borromeo, 2739 Stinson Blvd. N.E., Mpls. on Saturday, Dec. 1.  The evening begins with Mass at 5:00 PM, followed by Social, Dinner and the keynote address at 7:30 PM.  Father Peter Williams, Pastor of Maternity of Mary Parish in St. Paul will speak on “Making Jesus Known and Loved - Reflections of a Young Pastor.”  Tickets are $25.00 per person and must be purchased before noon on November 26.  Please call the parish office at 612-781-6529.

TURKEY RAFFLE - Saint Cyril’s Slovak Men’s Club will be holy their Annual Turkey Raffle on Friday, November 16 at 7:00 PM in the Church basement 13th Ave and 2nd St. N.E.  Donation $2.00 at the door.  Cash drawing, games, refreshments.  Handicapped accessible.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR AND LUNCH - The Ladies of St. Anne C.C.W. will have their annual Holiday Bazaar and Lunch on Saturday, November 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Lunch served 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the school cafeteria, 26th and Russell Avenue North in Minneapolis.  Small Boutique, Bake Sale, fresh nuts, homemade beef Barley Soup, pie and beverages.

TURKEY/CASH BINGO - All Saints is having a Turkey/Cash Bingo on Sunday, November 18 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM in the Parish Center located at 435-5th Street N.E.  Games, door prizes, refreshments will be served.

TO ALL SENIORS - You are invited to join us at our Annual Mass and Dinner on Friday, December 7th at 10:30 AM in Kolbe Center.  Cost is $12.00 and reservations are necessary.  Please call 612-789-9168 (preferably evenings) to make your reservation.  Deadline is Monday, December 3rd.
