WiIGILIA AT JAX WITH POLAINE CLUB- The Polanie Club of Minneapolis and St. Paul wishes to share Poland’s most beloved holiday celebration by hosting a traditional Christmas Eve dinner, Polish Wigilia, on Sunday, December 6^th, 2009 at JAX Café, 1928 University Avenue N.E.  The cost for this non-profit event is $35 per person and includes tax and gratuity.  The social hour begins at 5 PM, with dinner at 6 PM followed by music and koledy (the singing of Polish and American carols).  For information and reservation please call Fran 651-639-1464, Marie 763-566-2132 or Marta 651-638-9577.

HOLY CROSS ROSARY GUILD STYLE SHOW & MISSION BENEFIT The Style Show/Mission Benefit will be  Saturday, Nov. 7 in Kolbe Hall.  Dress Barn Fashions and Pork Roast Lunch.  Tickets are $20.00 and available this weekend Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 after 4:30, 8:00 and 10:00 Masses at the doors of the Church or by calling Janice (weekdays) at 612-789-7238.

EXCHANGE CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST - TODAY, November 1, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee and milk.  Cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 12.

FOOD FOR THE NEEDY - Help us remember those who are hungry and in need of food.  You can bring food donations when you come to Church or to the Rectory during the week.  The food will be used for Thanksgiving Baskets.  Please make sure to check the expiration date on the food and do not bring open boxes or bags.  Cash donations will also be accepted and used for turkeys, bread, etc.

60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF DOLINA POLISH FOLK DANCERS - Dolina Polish Folk Dancers Anniversary Concert will be held on St. Anthony High School, 3303-33rd Avenue N.E., St. Anthony starting at 7:00 PM on November 7th.  The concert will feature performances by Dolina Polish Folk Dancers, St. Mary’s Balalaika Orchestra, Izvorasul Romanian Folk Ensemble, Sloneczniki Children’s Polish Folk Dance Group, and Chabry Teen Polish Folk Dance Group.  Ticket prices: Adults $15.00, Students $12.00 under 12 $10.00.  Dolina will have a booth with Polish Folk Art and Polish Pride merchandise for sale.  On Sunday, November 8 the 10:00 AM Mass at Holy Cross will be for the special intention of Dolina.

FAMILY HOLY HOUR - Join other families from our diocese for a Family Holy Hour next Sunday, November 8th at Holy Cross.  Father Michael Skluzacek, Pastor of St John the Baptist in New Brighton will lead the Holy Hour - a special afternoon of music, prayer, Adoration, Benediction and reflection.  Confessions start at 2:15 PM and Adoration at 3:00 PM.  Bring a snack to share! Families should enjoy fellowship in Kolbe Hall after prayer. 

COFFEE & DONUT SUNDAY - On Sunday, November 8 the Holy Cross Choir will be hosting Coffee & Donut Sunday in Kolbe Center. This is a great opportunity to stop and visit with fellow parishioners.  Please join us.

SENIOR CITIZEN MASS AND SOCIAL - All seniors are welcome on Friday, November 6th at 9:00 AM for Mass in Church followed by social in Kolbe Center.

COME FOR COFFEE and donuts and learn how you can lose weight!  The Holy Cross Light Weight group will be showing an orientation video Sunday, November 8 (Donut Sunday) at 11:15 and again on December 6 in the Pioneer Room.  Stop by and learn how the Light Weigh can change your life.
