Text Box: MAY HE REST IN PEACE

Eternal rest grant on to John Kucharski
O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

We have celebrated many great Christian feasts in the last week: Christmas, Holy Family Sunday, the Solemnity of Mary on New Years Day, and now the Epiphany. This great feast honors the wise men who followed the star in the heavens which they recognized as a sign that someone great, and from heaven, was to be born. They had a great desire to see this wonder to find out who he was and to do him homage. They are a model for us in faith. We need to keep our eyes open to see in the signs of the times, no longer a sign in the heavens, an indication of where we should look to see how the Lord Jesus would lead us to serve him in this world today. It could be in our own family, in our local community or parish, or in some larger cause around us. There is much in our nation, state, community and church which needs attention from us today. May our prayerful attempt to interpret the signs of the times help us to follow the star of Jesus in our own lives today.

May everyone have a safe and blessed New Years Day. God’s blessings to all throughout the coming year!

Father Glen Jenson, Pastor
