LET US REMEMBER those who are hungry and in need of food. You can bring food donations when you come to Church or to the Rectory during the week. The food will be used for Thanksgiving Baskets. Please make sure to check the expiration date on the food and do not bring open boxes or bags. Cash donations will also be accepted and used for turkeys, bread, etc.
LAST CHANCE for Christmas Wreaths. The Holy Cross Educational Task Force is taking orders for Christmas Wreaths. These beautiful handcrafted Minnesota Balsam Fir wreaths are 25" and are trimmed with a bow and pine cones. Choose between the Classic Wreath for $12.50 or the Victorian Wreath for $15.00. Please call Cindee at 612-789-5686 (evenings) to order your wreath. Each wreath will come in a decorative plastic bag, great for gift giving. Deadline for orders is Sunday, October 30. Delivery will be in Kolbe Hall on Dec. 4 after the 8:00 & 10:00 Masses.

13 YEAR OLD HOLY CROSS PARISHIONER WERONIKA (Veronica) JANCZUK published her first book in April 2005, and she will be at Coffee & Donuts on November 13th to sell that very first novel, Allie's Journey. The book was written for the young adult audience and tells the story of a girl who must travel across the country to find where she truly belongs. POLISH SOUP FESTIVAL - The Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota (PACIM), is sponsoring its 16th Annual Polish Soup Festival on Friday, October 28, 2005 from 6-8 PM at the International Institute, 1694 Como Ave., St. Paul. For a $10 entry fee, participants may enjoy all 12 soups, along with bread, dessert and beverage.

CATHOLIC ELDERCARE is looking for your help! We have a strong call for various volunteer positions for people interested in working with your neighborhood elderly. Specific areas of need are one-on-one visits, gift shop sales, activity assistants and in-facility escorts. If you have time to share, be it once a week, once a month, we can use the help.
