ALL SAINTS PARTY - Plan now to attend the Holy Cross All Saints Party on Saturday, October 30 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Please sign up for this free event at all the entrances to the Church.  Event includes: children’s “Parade of Saints” (dress as your favorite saint), faith formation, potluck dinner, games, crafts and more.  Each family is asked to bring one large potluck item and one bag of candy (no hard candy).  We are asking each child to bring one non-perishable food item that will be given to the needy.

ATTENTION BOYS - If you are interested in serving the Lord as an Altar Server and are in the 3rd grade or older, please consider the privilege of representing your family so close to the Lord.  To have questions answered, contact Sister Benita at 612-789-9168.

HOLY CROSS ROSARY GUILD STYLE SHOW & MISSION BENEFIT - The Style Show/Mission Benefit will be Saturday, Nov. 7 in Kolbe Hall.  Dress Barn Fashions and Herb Chicken Breast Lunch.  Tickets are $20.00 and available after 4:30, 8:00 and 10:00 Mass next weekend Oct. 23 & 24 and Oct. 30 & 31 or at the Holy Cross Parish office weekdays - 612-789-7238.

REMINDER TO ALL ENGLISH ROSARY GUILD MEMBERS - Bring your $5.00 unwrapped door prize for the Fashion Show/Luncheon to the parish office during the week by Tuesday, October 26th.

POLISH SOUP FESTIVAL - The Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota 21st Annual Polish Soup Festival on Sunday, October 24, 2010 4:00 to 5:30 PM in Holy Cross Church Kolbe Hall, 17th Avenue and 4th Street N.E., Minneapolis.  Tickets available on line at www.pacim.org or at the door.  $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 12.  For information call 612-378-9291.

OUR THANKS to the Polish Committee for serving delicious “Bigos” after Mass on October 3rd.  $381.00 in profit was given to the Church.

35TH ANNIVRSARY GALA - Champion of life and niece of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Alveda C. King will speak at a gala celebrating the 35th anniversary of the University LifeCare Center (ULCC), a pro-life pregnancy resources center located near the University of Minnesota.  The ULCC gala includes a reception and dinner, and will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis.  Tickets are $75 and can be purchased on the Center’s website at ulifecare.org  For additional information call 612-623-3211.  Registration deadline is Monday, November 8.

AUTUMN SOCIAL - Pope John Paul II Catholic School, 1630-4th Street N.E., is having an Autumn Social Fundraiser Monday, October 25, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM - Holy Cross Kolbe Center.  Cost is $25.00 per person (adults only).  Donations are tax deductible.  There will be food and a Silent Auction.  Alumni welcome - All Saints, Holy Cross St. Anthony of Padua, St. Boniface, Sts.
