FATHER GLEN’S THOUGHTS….. Our readings this Sunday call for trust in God and the need for perseverance in prayer. God will answer our prayers as he sees what will be the best for us whether or not we see what God sees in the moment. As we receive the results of the Archdiocesan restructuring plan this weekend, it is important to keep in mind that God is with us, cares for us, and will help us to make the most of what will be taking place. With that in mind, let us respond to what we learn with open minds and hearts and a sense that God is with us to help us through these changes and into a new future that will be good, whether or not we can see how right now. Change is difficult, mourning the past is not wrong, but hope is the hallmark of those who trust in God and are alive in the Spirit. The Catholics of Northeast are sturdy people of faith. It is my hope that we can show others in the Archdiocese how to take the ball that is thrown to us by these changes, and run with it! Praised be Jesus Christ. I will be at all masses this weekend to make the announcement of the changes for our three parishes. I will be there either at the beginning of mass, at homily time, or after communion. Be sure not to leave until I have been to your church to make the announcement. After all masses, there will be representatives from the Archdiocese present to help answer any questions that you have that can be answered right away. There will be more to follow in the bulletin and in information from the Archdiocese in coming weeks. Stay tuned. Father Glen Jenson, Pastor |

ARCHDIOCESAN PLANNING PROCESS UPDATE Decisions regarding the status of all parishes under the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis’ Strategic Plan are being announced at Masses this weekend. Booklets summarizing the Strategic Plan and noting the status of all parishes in the Archdiocese under the plan are available after Masses this weekend. Please take one copy per household. No schools are identified for closure in the information announced today. The Strategic Plan calls for further evaluation of the sustainability of schools.
