Text Box: MESSAGE FROM
FATHER JENSON

The Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we know that you are a truthful man and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.” Jesus is God’s truth and to follow him and his teaching is the only way to have assurance of living the truth in our lives. God’s truth is unchanging, trying to figure out the truth in our crazy world is often difficult in the extreme. Follow God’s truth and you will be able to recognize truth in the world. That we are made in God’s image is obvious. In that God’s son became a man, he could become no other part of his creation as no other is like him, as he has said in the first chapter of Genesis. Let us treasure the image of God within us by always respecting human life, no matter how that individual life may seem challenged or a challenge for us.

Men of our parishes please note, the Holy Name men’s clubs of Northeast are hosting an evening at St. Boniface with Fr. Jerry Fehn, an army chaplain from our diocese who will speak of his experiences in Iraq and of the chaplains’ life in the army. This meeting on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:00 PM is open to the men of Northeast and should be very interesting. Come and join with us as men of faith. There will be a social with pizza to follow in the church basement.

Next weekend our school, Pope John Paul II, is having a Pancake Breakfast on October 26 at St. Clement’s. Please come and support our Northeast Catholic School

Father Glen Jenson
