Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

Keeping all the commandments is not enough to inherit eternal life. Jesus requires more than simply obeying the ten laws given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. For the Christian, there is still the command to give to the poor.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus looked at the man and loved him and then invited him to follow. It is no less for us. Jesus loves us all, and invites us to follow him by giving to the poor. Indeed, he even promises us that as we give up wealth and possessions for the sake of the kingdom, we will be blessed even more.

Can you help someone today?

Text Box: A NOTE OF THANK FROM BISHOP PATES

“Dear Father David,

Thanks ever so much for the warm welcome, the gracious hospitality and the beautiful picture of Holy Cross - “the Polish Cathedral”, the dinner and the flowers on the occasion of the Silver Anniversary of the service of the Society of Christ at Holy Cross.

All was well planned and executed and I felt honored to represent Archbishop Flynn on this occasion.

My prayers, support and best wishes are with you.”

			Bishop Richard Pates

BELL TOWER INTERIOR - Some over due work has started on the interior of the bell tower.  This work was put off a number of years ago in order to devote more resources to the outside bell tower.  It is time to tuck point the inside brickwork, replace the loose and deteriorated bricks, clean the interior walls and water proof all surfaces.  This work will be done by Thanksgiving and will be paid from our savings.  While work is being done our Church bells will not be operational.

THANK YOU TO all who donated to the Greg Adler Benefit (grandson of parishioner Betty Adler) which was held on September 23rd at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lino Lakes.  Your kindness was deeply appreciated.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
