ALL SAINTS PARTY - Mark your calendar now to attend the Holy Cross All Saints Party on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 5:30 to 8:30 PM in Kolbe Hall.  Please sign up for this free event at all entrances to the church next weekend.  Events include: children’s “Parade of Saints”, faith formation, potluck dinner, games, crafts and much more.  Each family is asked to bring one large potluck item and one bag of candy (no hard candy).  Back by popular demand - we are asking each child to bring one non-perishable food item that will be used to fill food baskets for the needy.

ATTENTION STUDENTS - Are you in need of volunteer hours?  The Holy Cross All Saints Party is on Saturday, November 1.  If you are interested in earning some hours call Carrie at 612-789-5714.

BIGOS - The Polish Committee of Holy Cross will be serving Bigos (Sauerkraut with pork, beef and kielbasa), bread and tea on Saturday, October 18 after the 4:30 PM Mass and Sunday, October 19 after the 10:00 and 11:30 AM Masses.  The cost will be $4.00. For children a hot dog and chips will be served for $2.00.

ANTIQUE APPRAISAL - Ever wonder about those ”Treasures” in your homes?  Collectibles and Antiques Appraisal Fair on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Holy Cross Kolbe Center.  3 items appraised for $4.00.  $1.00 for each additional item.  Appraisals by Birkelund & Associates Professional Appraisers.  Sponsored by Holy Cross Church.

“COUNTRY CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA” in Lakeville on Saturday, November 15.  $59.00 per person includes bus, show and Roast Beef Dinner.  For ten years this toe-tapping, breath-taking show has captivated sold out audiences from all across the nation. Reservation and payment due by October 15th for this popular holiday show.  Bus leaves at 10:00 AM; performance at Noon and dinner to follow.  12 reservations left. Call Joan at (612)379-4488.

POLISH SOUP FESTIVAL - The Polish American Cultural Institute of Minnesota presents its 19th Annual Polish Soup Festival on Sunday, October 26 from 5:00-7:00 PM in Kolbe Center.  Adults $10.00 and children under 12 $5.00.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST with sausage, juice, milk/coffee will be served on Sunday, October 26 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Clement Catholic Church, 911-24th Ave. N.E.  Cost $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children.  Proceeds benefit Pope John Paul II Catholic School

JOHN PAUL II DAY AT HOLY CROSS on Sunday, October 12.  Special Polish Mass with candle procession and music performed by Polish youth at 11:30 AM.  Lunch served after 11:30 Mass (pierogi and desserts prepared by Polish youth).  Auction with all profits and donations given to “Work of the New Millennium” in Poland that will provide educational opportunities for young people from small towns and villages in Poland.
