FATHER GLEN’S THOUGHTS….. This Sunday, the Octave of Christmas, we honor the Motherhood of Mary, as the virgin mother of God. Through her, God sent us his greatest blessing, Jesus Christ his son our Savior. In Jesus, God has made his face to shine upon us and give us peace. Mary had pledged herself to God and God blessed her gift of self with divine motherhood. As we begin the new year we seek to pledge ourselves to God to receive his blessings upon ourselves, our families and our nation and church. May the new year be full of goodness for us as we seek to follow Mary’s example and serve the Lord whole heartedly. May God bless all of us with a wonderful New Year! Many people worked so hard to make our celebrations at Christmas so beautiful and inspiring. The music, decorations and flowers were all superb. May God bless all those who gave of their time and talents to make our churches places of wonder to inspire as we worship the Lord on Christmas and through the days of the season of Christmas. Thank you all! Father Glen Jenson, Pastor |
