ARCHDIOCESAN PLANNING PROCESS UPDATE

Decisions regarding the status of this parish under the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis’s strategic plan will be announced at weekend Masses here next weekend, October 16th and 17th.  For most parishes there will be no structural change, although all parishes and schools will be called into greater collaboration with others.  Informational materials regarding the structural changes involving certain parishes as well as strategic initiatives affecting all parishes and schools will be available after Masses next weekend.

What is a structured collaboration?

Structured collaboration is when two or more parishes, each with their own pastor, are specifically identified to work in collaboration in a particular area or areas (i.e sharing resources, cooperating on programming, etc.)  While all parishes will be called into greater collaboration under the Strategic Plan, parishes identified for structured collaboration are specifically asked to engage in particular cooperation and communication with neighboring parishes.
