Text Box: BULLETIN CONNECTION

When Paul writes to Timothy in the second reading today, he is encouraging him in the life of faith. The section we hear today concludes with Paul admonishing Timothy to guard the rich trust of faith and love that is his in Christ Jesus. Paul bids Timothy to do so with the help of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.

For the Catholic community in the United States, the first Sunday in October is designated “Respect Life Sunday.” As Catholics, our respect for all life is rooted in the Bible and in our Trinitarian faith. We hold that each person is sacred because we have been redeemed by the Son who gave his life on the cross. And we believe in the sanctity of the human person because of the gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.

Our respect for life is not limited to the unborn and the elderly. It extends to EVERY person - something that can be difficult to do at times. But that is the vision to which we are called.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is simply our response to JESUS’ LOVE FOR US.  Our worship at Mass should go together with our personal worship of JESUS in Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel in order that our love may be complete.  JESUS said “no one that ever comes will I ever reject.”

From Father David Ostrowski ….

To celebrate the 80th Anniversary of our present church building (1927-2007) and its redecoration by Conrad Schmitt Studios, Coadjutor Archbishop John Neinstedt has accepted the invitation to come and celebrate the 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday, November 18, 2007.  Because of his busy schedule the Archbishop changed his calendar to be with us.  It is my hope that many parishioners will be present at Mass.  Please plan to attend and welcome Archbishop Neinstedt.  A reception will follow.
