FATHER GLEN’S THOUGHTS….. In our Gospel this Sunday the Lord responds to the request from the apostles to increase their faith by telling them that if they have solid faith even the size of a mustard seed, they can accomplish great things. He also speaks of discipleship and that we should view ourselves as his servants in the world. All the baptized are servants of God to serve each other for the building up of the household of God which is the Church. We all play a part in making the good news of Jesus visible and active in the world through the Church. With that in mind, the upcoming release of the Archdiocesan restructuring report on the weekend of October 16/17 reminds us that the local church has issues that need to be taken care of so that the local church can go about the business of serving the message of Jesus more effectively. Priest staffing and financial issues in many parishes will be addressed by this plan to enable the local church to employ its resources as well as possible. Whatever changes may be indicated, we should look at them to see how they are designed to address weaknesses in the church in this Archdiocese. If our tri-parish communities are affected, it will help to make sense of such changes if we see how they address larger issues in the church, not just our own parish. Whatever may take place, may it enable us to serve Jesus ever more effectively. Praised be Jesus Christ! Father Glen Jenson, Pastor |

SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF GUDALUPE TOUR will be Tuesday, October 12th. The tour to LaCrosse, Wisconsin includes: coffee stop in Stockholm, hot lunch buffet, mass, time to tour the grounds, deluxe motor coach and tour director. Cost is $53.00 per person.
